Ciceley Commercials Autumn Stages Rally, 2008.
We were delighted that yet again, in partnership with His Grace the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry KBE and his staff at Drumlanrig Castle and with the logistical support of Oakbank Services plus generous sponsorship from Ciceley Commercials, our main event ran on Sunday September 14th 2008.

Clerk of the Course, Ian Crosbie, worked hard to provide a route that pleased everyone and despite a late enforced change of route due to some road refurbishments in the area of the castle, laid out a 30 stage mile, ten stage route.
Servicing this year was on tarmac surfaces in Sanquhar, where communications were much better than at last year`s service area, the picturesque but remote Mennock Pass.
These days, ten stages over 30 gravel miles for £220 is a real bargain, and as a result, the really low entry fee attracted no less than 41 starters.
For 2008, a `trophy rally` was introduced, where any crew failing to finish the first five stages, could rejoin at service and (only subject to the scrutineer`s approval) continue over the last five stages. As it happened, two crews rejoined, but neither finished!
