24/04/2016 Speyside Stage Rally 2016
Got our first finish of the season in the Scottish rally championship every thing was great till we developed a problem with the car cutting out mid way through the first gravel stage thought it was the master switch but it turned out to be a faulty alternator this problem persisted till the car cut out heading into second service and we had nothing it was dead we all thought that would be another non finish but pushed car into service anyway and as fate would have it Murray Coulthard had parked next to us and we borrowed his spare alternator so all was not lost finished 3rd in class 43rd overall out of 121 starters thought we had 2nd in class till a timing error was corrected which dropped us down well done to all involved and some very slippy staged gartly moor was awesome and fair play to the c2 challenge cars these boys must be pushing the little cars on I know the pace we were on on some stages and never took much time out of them so big thanks to Murray Gareth White des for keeping us in the rally congrats to all the prize winners also big thanks to Neil Shanks and his team on a great event hears to the continued success of the speyside rally
