Update from Wales GB
A quote from the David Bogie rallying facebook page – ‘Not the way we planned our day to end. Unfortunately on SS4 a hole in the road caused the car to crash out mid corner putting it into a spin, clipping a bank in the process. No damage other than a burst oil cooler but meant we could go no further. Rally GB doesn’t seem to be kind to us.’
Very unfortunate for David and Kevin as they were going well prior to the excursion. Lying 23rd overall after 3 stages with a penalty at a time control which would have seen them lying 19th or so. In the top 20 of a WRC event can’t be bad. Better luck next time guys.
It’s a big weekend for some of our members who will be flying the South Of Scotland Car Club flag, heading both north and south.
David Bogie and Kevin Rae head south to tackle the Wales Rally GB in the Fiesta R5. Best of luck guys we hope you keep up the pace already seen by you in the past months.
Two crews, Ian Paterson & Helen Brown and brothers Stuart & Allan Paterson head to Crail for the all tarmac event in their Subarus, again we wish them well.
Hopefully there will be some interesting updates from the crews after the weekend.
