Mixed weekend for SoSCC Members at Warcop Ranges

Great weather at the NHMC Warcop Stages at the weekend , but cause havoc with some of the cars with brakes and engines overheating and excessive tyre ware also .

A bit of mixed results for our South of Scotland Car Club crews

Car no 2 Gordon Morrison Montana & Calum Mac Pherson  in the Lochwinnoch Heavy Haulage /Scottish Gritting sponsored Subaru  Impreza finishing 1st overall but was made difficult when the finished the 2nd last stage 6 seconds down due to a broken propshaft, and this is where fellow club member Ian Paterson came to the rescue to help Gordon out and get him out for the last stage where he took 14 second of the car that was leading to take the win.

Car No 5 Ian & Alan Paterson in the Craigie Bank / Threave Rural sponsored Subaru Impreza didn’t fair to well on ss2 when the propshaft broke and damaged the gearbox casing so end of the day for them.

Car no 26 Drew Gallagher & David Crosbie in the Scottish Gritting/ Lochwinnoch Heavy Haulage sponsored wide track Subaru  Impreza , who were going well all day and were lying 7th overall then developed a misfire due to a faulty coil pack so they called it a day .

Car No 61 Joe Mc Keand in the Dumfries Body Repair Centre Sponsored Subaru Impreza was a late entry into this event and was going well until he lost his brakes due to boiling fluid and brake pads and also picked up a puncture to finish the day 24th Overall.
