Rally action in June.
In Saturday’s June 14th’s tarmac event in the Kingdom of Fife, the ‘Summer Stages’, Ian Paterson & Helen Brown / Subaru were 10th overall, and Stuart & Allan Paterson / Subaru were 14th overall. Meanwhile, Murray Coulthard & Harry Marchbank / Nova, only managed three stages before mechanical failure meant their retirement.
Last Saturday’s Carlisle Stages was where David Bogie and Kevin Rae debuted the new Fiesta R5+ and after doing some of the stages purely as a test sesion, didn’t hand in their time cards, but were very satisfied with the car’s performance., David Hayton and Derek Adamson had great fun in the Mk I Escort but beached it on one stage , losing a shedload of time. Copntrary to previous rumours (started apparently by me) Greg McKnight and David Crosbie didn’t in fact put in a late entry in the MK II but went testing the day after, ahead of this week’s ‘Scottish’.
