Its Fiesta Time !
Taking delivery of a new R5 Fiesta from the world renowned M-Sport organisation isn’t something that happens to many folk but 5 Times Scottish Rally Champion Davd Bogie’s just done that very thing.
Even in plain white, the car looks like aggressive and definitely fit for purpose, as it has all the toys on it to propel it forward (and sideways) at a rate of knots. And it’s possibly not before time to be frank, as the WRC Focus has had a couple of surprising ‘issues’ recently, making it difficult to turn in the consistent top results David and Kevin are in the habit of producing.
While the R5 will make its first appearance on the next SRC gravel round, the Scottish Rally on June 28th, ultimately a crack at Wales Rally GB later in the year is the goal, and David is already relishing the idea of pitting his skills against the rest of his fellow competitors.
Meanwhile, the Cagemax sponsored Focus is being kitted out in tarmac trim for next week’s Jim Clark Memorial Rally and ultimately, a shot at Scottish Championship win number six !.
One thing’s for sure. All eyes will be on the new Fiesta from the moment it emerges from the covered trailer. Best of luck to David and Kevin.
