Paul’s Star Chevette.
Here’s an image that’ll warm the hearts of many, mostly those of more mature years who remember Chevettes coming off the production line and straight into the showrooms. Then latterly, the more sporty ones were to be seen tearing around Britain and beyond, winning lots and lots of rallies in the hands of McRae, Airrikalla and many more of the big guns of rallying folklore.

Paul Whyte has just finished the lengthy, exacting an labour intensive rebuild from the ground up of this fine example, with every last nut, bolt, screw and washer having been sandblasted, repainted and carefully refitted.
It’s entered in Britains biggest Vauxhall and Opel show down south next weekend and stands a very good chance of picking up a trophy.
