Club member Mike Curry made the long journey down to Chepstow last weekend to compete on the Wydean Rally with David Harkness from Ayrshire in his 3.0L BMW E30.
The pair struggled in the mud with the RWD car on the early stages but managed to increase their pace as the stages became more open and flowing in the afternoon. A change of tyres from Dmack to Dunlops at service seemed to make some improvement to their times but it was all in vain when a driveshaft cried enough on the last stage and forced the pair into retirement. The 6 hour return journey seemed even longer as a result.
